The Brief
With a proud history, Grayson (GB) Ltd had grown to become the UK’s number one supplier of sundries to main contractors and masonry sub-contractors. Their office in Sheffield had become ‘tired’ and in need of a full refurbishment. Having seen how Wall Nuts had helped other companies they soon realised that they needed to go a step beyond just stud walls, a lick of paint and some new furnishings. As we already had a good understanding of Grayson as a company prior to this particular project, the brief we were given was quite loose. All they asked was that their brand should run over the 3 floors, the areas should inspire, motivate and educate and the overall theme should carry through to the trade counter aswell… They wanted an office that not only looked good, but one that conveyed their culture and their brand as a whole and would ultimately be a showcase for them going forward.
The Process
The site visit consisted of a walk round the whole office taking photos of the space and measuring specific walls and areas. There were a number of things that we picked up in this initial meeting such as their company values were very important, their products were innovative and their team was extremely knowledgeable about specific industry needs. Furthermore we picked up that although they had more branches nationwide this wasn’t something they spoke about enough.. After the initial brief/site survey we got to work generating lots of ideas and solutions in terms of what would work visually and have a big impact in driving their brand forward. We also engaged a new photographer to take updated photos of hero products which would be used as a continuation of theme from office through to the trade counter.
The Result
A visually inspiring space providing a cohesive on-brand backdrop increasing workforce engagement and helping the company as a whole to align with their competitors and drive the business forward. They were also able to showcase their nationwide reach plus an eye-catching social media wall allowed them to share staff specific news more effectively.
Steph visited our office when it was still a work in progress (many walls were still being built and we had no furniture in the workspace yet) so we were impressed with her flexibility and vision despite having little to go off. After seeing the designs, it was clear how much attention to detail went into the branded spaces plan. Steph was effortlessly able to create an impactful theme and incorporate on-brand and motivated messaging throughout our office. If you’re looking for someone to help create a branded space for your business, I’d highly recommend using Wall Nuts.
